Nowadays, video is an integrated part of what we do online.
More people prefer watching a video tutorial than reading long texts.
A recent survey showed that two-thirds of customers prefer video over text.
Most major email providers (Google, Yahoo, Outlook) do not support video embedding in the email platform.
Fortunately, there is a workaround that allows embedding part of the video to incentivize your customers to click through and watch it.
There are two ways I use to embed videos in my emails:
Embed a GIF of your video with a "click here to watch full video" CTA
Embed a still photo of your video, and when the "Play" button is clicked, will be re-routed to the video's URL.

Find the URL of the video you want to include, or download and save your video to your computer.
Go to Imgflip.com, a tool that enables you to create GIFs of videos.
Choose a starting point and end point for your GIF.
Download your GIF.
Drag and drop your GIF into your email, and add a video CTA linking to the full video.
1 - Get the video URL and download to your computer.
2 - Go to Imgflip.com.
3 - Choose a start and ending point for your Gif.
4 - Download your Gif.
5- Drag and drop the Gif into your email and create below a video Call-to-action (Ex: Click to view full video here) with a hyperlink to the video URL.

If you pause a video and take a screenshot, you'll already have the play button in the image.
But if you print screen a video playing or use any other image, you need to insert a play button to make it look like a playable video.
